The Derbyshire Hotel is easily reached off Junction 28 of the M1 motorway. Short break visitors will find it an extremely convenient place to explore this beautiful area as you're within easy reach of Nottingham, Derby and Chesterfield and on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park. For shop-a-holics, the hotel is opposite the East Midlands Designer Shopping Outlet where there are plenty of bargains.

Chatterley's Restaurant combines delicious food, friendly service with chic surroundings. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For private dining, the chef's table is available for 8 to 14 people. The informal Lounge Bar serves light snacks, drinks and cocktails, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Not much atmosphere in the bar & restaurant, however the staff were very pleasant. We got a very good deal through the Warwickshire magazine, we might not have been quite so happy if we'd paid full price!

The turkish bath in the hotel was infected with mold and I did not use it. This was disappointing.

We had a great stay as the accommodation was good and the leisure facilities were very good but it was spoilt by the quality of the food which was not as good as could have been expected for such an expensive venue. I expected better from a 4 star hotel. For example: TV in room was faulty. Their solution was for us to move room. Inconvenient, however we did so. TV in replacement room also faulty. If there was a 'maybe' to tick on the last 2 questions, I would have ticked them. The hotel is very near to the motorway and that obviously has it's disadvantages. We booked late and beggers can't be choosers!
