Exceptionally rich in history and romance it is the only King Edward I castle in Wales where guests stay within its ancient walls.

A Royal Welsh gem just waiting to be explored. No ‘standard’ hotel... rooms vary in size and style, all bedrooms have en suite, flat screen TV’s with Freeview, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, WiFi access and 24 hour room service.

There are a number of Royal Salons for those looking for an extra special room. Dinner is served in the AA 2-rosette Bertie's restaurant.

All rooms include a Welsh Bakery Breakfast, free parking on site and a warm welcome awaits you.

The Ruthin Castle Hotel is situated in a lovely grounds,the view from our room was beautiful, but my husband thought the room was a bit tired looking,and didn't feel impressed with the bathroom, it needed upgrading

Ruthin Castle is a lovely Hotel to take a break; it has atmosphere and wonderful rooms totally in keeping with their surroundings. The Staff are the most friendly and courteous you will find anywhere and are a credit to the Hotel. We will certainly return. Lord and Lady Humberstone

Ruthin Castle hotel is a wonderful setting and a very characterful hotel. The food, service and everything about the hotel were superb. The area nearby is beautifully scenic, with plenty to see and do. We very much hope to return...soon!

Room was a little tired looking. No iron in room,broken light fitting.No lampshades on side lights,main light side looked cheap and worn.Carpets in main rooms dirty and need cleaning.

Our only problem concerned the menu. It was the same for the two nights we stayed and as vegetarians it meant we had the same dish both nights. It would have been nice to have had an alternative choice. However the food was very good.

We loved our weekend away at Ruthin Castle hotel and would highly recommend a stay there. Staff are very friendly and the food was amazing.
